About

Welcome

Hi, my names is Hannah Joy Fellowes. I am a Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist and Trauma Recovery Specialist. Please have a look through these pages to read more about what I offer, my perspective on psychotherapy and how I might assist you on your journey.

Therapy can help you make deep, radical changes to your way of being in the world. It can help you understand more of who you are and what you, as a unique person, bring to this life. My approach to therapy is transpersonal, embodied and relational. To find out more, please have a read of these pages. I also offer a free 20 minute free consultation if you want to ask questions and get a feel for what working with me may be like.

What I offer

Individual Therapy

Whatever you are struggling with, you don’t have to face it alone. Some of the issues I work with are anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, sexual issues, identity, dissociation, life crisis, grief and loss, PTSD and C-PTSD, rape and sexual abuse. Please see the Individuals page for more information. Or get in touch via the contact page to arrange a free 20 minute consultation.

Couples Therapy

Are you and your partner struggling?  Has communication broken down? Have you been faced with a difficult situation and need some help to move through it? Or are you struggling with sex and intimacy? I offer a confidential, respectful space for you to explore your relationship and find a better connection with each other. I am LGBTQIA aligned and also honour that relationships take many forms. I work with ENM and Polyamorous relationships. My approach is balanced, direct and emotionally focused.

Trauma Recovery Work

When we have experienced trauma, life becomes harder. We may develop a lot of different bodily and psychological symptoms and not realise that it is actually trauma which underlies these. I take a somatic approach to trauma recovery based in Poly-Vagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing and Coherence work. I also offer trauma processing work using havening and bi-lateral movement.

CPD

I offer workshops and group training to counsellors and psychotherapists. Upcoming events include day workshops on Working with The Body in Psychotherapy. The workshops I design are trauma-informed, creative and experiential. The program of these will go live soon, please subscribe to my mailing list to hear about upcoming offerings and click below to read more…

Embodiment Work

One of my main areas of interest is what it means to be fully alive and embodied. There are many ways we can feel separate from or not 'in' ourselves or our body. Carl Jung said that no therapy is complete if it does not include the body. Working with the experience of being alive and in our bodies is incredibly transformative. For this aspect of my work I draw on my training and also my own life long enquiry into awareness and consciousness, taoist practice, mindfullness, somatic experiencing, body psychotherapy and tantra.

Neurodiversity

I provide a safe space for people diagnosed as having ADHD, as well as autistic people, and those with dyslexia, dysbraxia and other challenges someone neurodiverse may face. My approach is strategic, affirming and collaborative. I am adaptive and considerate. I also provide support and affirmation for those considering diagnosis or self-diagnosed. I am experienced in this area both professionally and personally.
