Sex and Relationship Therapy
Welcome. Whatever you and your partner are struggling with couples therapy can give you a safe place to reflect, process and find new ways of being with each other.
Sometimes we hit bumps in the road with our relationships. There may have been a betrayal, an affair of some kind. A loss or change to the usual way of operating. Sometimes, when the initial stages of the relationship have subsided we may just lose the spark and attraction that brought us to the relationship. When family life and the daily grind take over, it can be hard to nurture our connection with our partner and things can get stuck in a rut.
Couples therapy can halp you make sense of what is going on in your relationship. It can also help you learn new skills for relating to each other whilst providing a safe space for you to talk and express things that it may be hard both to say, or to listen to.
Sometimes people feel that they have lost a part of themselves when they are in a relationship, couples therapy can help you find that again and strengthen your connection.
My approach to couples therapy can be directive, and is based in a desire for you to find the highest common denominator for your relationship. It is aimed at helping you find ways of relating that will leave you fulfilled. I will do a thorough assessment and may see you for individual as well as joint sessions. If you would like to know more please get in touch via the form below to schedule a 20 minute consultation.
I have completed training with Juliet Grayson and am part of a Couples Therapy Supervision and Training Collective. I work in an attachment based way and draw on the work of Esther Perel, Terry Real, Chloe Madanes and Tony Robbins.
